Understanding the Difference
My friend, have you heard somewhere along the way that prayer is the same as manifestation? While this idea can feel empowering at first—giving you a sense of control over your life and destiny—it’s tiring. Slowly corrupting the faith you once had in God. Or just yourself. If you haven’t made Jesus the source of your foundation yet. Especially when things don’t go as planned. You blame and look down on self.
Sometimes, you get what you want, but that doesn’t come without opening doorways you never anticipated. Don’t expect peace or genuine satisfaction; it won’t come. Just because God allows something, doesn’t mean He accepts it or ordained it. There are other dark sources at play. When you try to make your own way, you step outside of God’s will.
At one time, this “technique” might have felt like the answer to your prayers, but eventually, you’ll find yourself trying to “pray” your way out of what you once created. It’s like being a hamster on a wheel. Always searching or hoping for more!
The Burden of Manifestation
“Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” 2 Timothy 3:7 KJV
Or see the New Living Translation version:
Such women are forever following new teachings, but they are never able to understand the truth. 2 Timothy 3:7 NLT
That’s what happens when you play creator. Manifestation tells you that if you believe you deserve something, and align your thoughts and actions with it, it’s yours. Just imagine the burden that comes with that! You’re constantly moderating your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. You might ask yourself, “Am I good enough? What’s going wrong here?” All the while, spirits chip away at your soul.
Prayer, on the other hand, says, “Whatever you ask for in My name, I’ll do.” (John 14:13) There’s no unnecessary pressure here! If it happens you know it’s God. If it doesn’t, you still know it’s God and trust him rather than berate yourself. The good news is, God is the same forever and always! There’s comfort in knowing He’s in control and won’t unexpectedly change.
“And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” John 14:13 NKJV.
That burden was never yours to carry in the first place. It’s the job of your Creator. Get right with Him, and change your life! He knew and formed you before you even had a chance to question yourself.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5 NKJV.
“Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, And He who formed you from the womb: “I am the LORD, who makes all things, Who stretches out the heavens all alone, Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself;” Isaiah 44:24 NKJV
The Dangers of Seeking Power Outside of God
How can you, a creation, allow the universe to be your source of creation? Come on now! Or perhaps you’re calling on your angels, guides, or ancestors? Do you not know that fallen angels exist? That this world is satan’s playground (2 Corinthians 4:4)? That a third of the angels fell with satan in his rebellion!
Maybe you think this is all made up as a “cover-up” to keep you from “your true power.” But go that route, and you’ll find when your only power or faith goes as far as yourself, it doesn’t bring you much at all. And definitely not without a price!
“But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand:” Matthew 7:26 NKJV
There are dark forces at play in life. Just take a look around! How can you be spiritual while spending your time manifesting only physical desires and worldly things? Living for the flesh leads to death.
“For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.” Romans 8:6 ESV.
You might be living for selfish things because somewhere along the way, someone convinced you this is spiritual. They told you that you’re special and that things are kept from you. You have to tap into "your power." But don’t blame yourself! That’s what the great deceiver does. Just turn from these things and drop to your knees in prayer and repentance instead.
Finding Clarity Through Prayer
Prayer is a powerful tool that connects you to God. It’s a way to seek guidance, comfort, and clarity in your life. When you pray, you open your heart to God’s wisdom. Accept Jesus. Allow Him to guide your steps and illuminate your path.
In our busy lives, it’s easy to forget the importance of prayer. We often get caught up in the hustle and bustle, chasing after worldly desires. Thinking we have control. But remember, true fulfillment comes from aligning with God’s purpose for you! Jesus is the only way to life.
So, how do you cultivate a deeper prayer life? Here are a few tips:
Set Aside Time: Dedicate a specific time each day for prayer. It could be in the morning, during lunch, or before bed. Consistency is key!
Create a Sacred Space: Find a quiet spot where you can focus and connect with God. It could be a cozy corner in your home or a peaceful outdoor setting.
Be Honest: Share your thoughts, feelings, and struggles with God. He wants to hear from you! Don’t hold back. Pray the “Lord’s prayer” or “Our Father” in time of discipleship. Also when you don’t know what to say. Showing him reference will get you far. Teaching you the fear of the Lord.
Listen: Prayer isn’t just about talking; it’s also about listening. Take a moment to be still and hear what God has to say. Look to his Word! Download the Bible app. Get yourself a Bible. ASAP. 😌🕊️😮💨
Express Gratitude: Thank God for His blessings, big and small. Gratitude opens your heart and deepens your connection. Allows you to humble.
Embracing Change
Amen! God bless! May Jesus be with you. I pray you consider a change before you try to make your way. 🙏
“Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand.” Proverbs 19:21 ESV
Remember, Jesus wants relationship. Not performance. Come to him as the dirty rags you are. Be made new in the Father’s righteousness. You are not alone on the narrow path! I just pray that’s the path you’ll live by and consider. 🙏
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”
Matthew 7:13-15 NLT
